You can create the same relaxing environment in your own bedroom at home with these tips.

Create a temperature that is easy to control

Because hotel rooms are often a single room, you have the ability to easily adjust the temperature of the room. If you are cold, you can turn on the furnace and feel the heat within minutes. If you are hot, you can simply turn off the furnace and the room will quickly shut down. While you might not have a furnace in your room, you can adjust the temperature in other ways. Consider adding a permanent fan to quickly cool down a room that is too hot. Place a space heater by your bed for those especially cold nights.

Your bedding and pajamas should also be chosen for temperature control. Down comforters can be warm, without overheating you. It is also less likely to pill than cotton satin because it has a denser weave. Simply put, thread count is the number of threads woven into one square inch of fabric. The number is based on the threads woven horizontally (weft) and vertically (warp). Extra threads can also be woven into the weft threads to increase the thread count. Make sure your boudoir pillow cases are also of a high thread count.

Make sure the room smells nice

Hotel rooms are cleaned daily. You might be too busy to clean your room daily and it is unlikely that it needs to be cleaned daily, but you can give it a refreshing feel every day with nice and soothing smells. Fresh scents can promote sleep quality and can encourage relaxation. Just make sure you find a scent that you enjoy and do not go overboard with it. Too much of even the best scent can be a problem. The laundry detergent and fabric softener that you use on your white cotton pajamas and boudoir pillow cases can also affect your sleep quality.
